My Vacation on Summer 2007

Every one talk Ramadlan, my friend talks about Ramadlan and also my family talks about this, the Holy Month of Ramadlan. They are talking because Ramadlan will be coming soon. That is moment of my vacation visit to my country Indonesia on this summer, September 2007. This is the second years on Ramadlan Kariem that I stay in Indonesia since I live in Cairo, Egypt. In Indonesia, I live in Jakarta with my parents and also visit my big family in Kediri, East of Java.

In the end of Ramadlan, my parents and I go to our village in Kediri. This traveling we usually are called by Mudik. And Iedul Fitri celebrates we are called by Lebaran.

In Kediri, as other region in Indonesia, there are happened two days Iedul Fitri celebrates. The first calendar of Syawwal 1428 Hijriah, according to Muhammdiyah –the Islamic organization- starts on Friday and Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) –the Islamic organization bigger in Indonesia- start lebaran on Saturday.

Lebaran in Indonesia is different with in Egypt. In Indonesia, every one visit their neighbor, friend and family until seventh day of Syawwal.

Agiba beach is last destination of our trip. Agiba Beach is the pride of Marsa, even if it is no more than 40-50 meters long. Agiba beach is more beautiful than other beach in Marsa Mathruh. It is set between protecting cliffs, and a nice reception area has been built on top on one of these. The sand is cleaner here, and the temperature cooler. But the day ends earlier, as the cliffs take away the sunset hours.

Here, many of my friends swam in this beach, but I can't joint them, I just looked around until corner and finish in the forbidden area. One of the moments I can't forget it when Nadlir lose control when swam in big wave, makes coastguard save him.

After our entire program had finished, we back to Cairo and arrived at 10.00pm.

The next day this tour, we check out hotel at 09.00 am. We together went to Cleopatra beach. This beach is called by Cleopatra because story of this place. Last time ago, when Cleopatra live, she took a bath in a cave in this beach and with this ritual, she looks a beautiful woman.

Some my friend interested to look Cleopatra's bath room inside, but not me. I was not interest because I don't have dry clothes. So I went to hill of this place, and take a beautiful panorama to take some picture.

We have a story that maybe we can't forget it. When we in hill of Cleopatra Beach, my friend who is called by El-Haq sang Indonesian anthem "Indonesia Raya" while hold and uncase Nahdlatul Ulama flag. Of course, all of people look at him not only Indonesian people but also all of tourist.

Finally I had nice room in 4th floor with Luthfi and Ayoub. In this room, I could see Mathrouh Town.

Together after lunch, we walked in edge beach to find a nice place to swim. We found in corner beach, "It's so nice place", Maria said. We together swam except Luthfi.

A few moments later, Nadlir, Irwan and others join with us to swim together. In here, we as foreign because except us is local tourist.

In the night, we made a small party in edge beach. With DJ Bella our party start firstly with sang “Indonesia Raya” or Indonesian National Anthem. Than made a quiz until mid night.

I have a story that I can’t forget it. When free time after party, I found some friend at a corner café after walking around Mathruh town, so I join with them. In ending story, I must pay 220 EGP for 14 Tea and 6 Sisa. ”wow.... that is very expensive”.

Al-Mustawa NU Summer Tour - Part 1

Al-Mustawa (member organization join in 2006 of Nahdlatul Ulama of Egypt) was take tour to Mathruh Beach, Cleopatra Beach and Ajiba Beach on 1st-2nd of July, 2007. They got a motto "refresh our head, refresh our soul" for this tour.

Departure from Cairo at 08.30 AM. In the bus, we got entertainment from guides, such as Al-Mustawa Radio Station, make quiz and others. The guides had commitment "don't ever feel bored in this tour".

I took in second desk, so I could look scenery of Sahara (desert in Africa) in Egypt, although make some people bored, but not for me. We arrived in Mathruh at 03.00 PM, then checked in hostel to take a rest for a while before continue our schedule.

Congratulation For You All

I wish to address for all my brothers and sisters, my friends in Indonesia which nowadays are happy. They are Aly Mahmud which some last week he had a first son. And AR Joharuddin also which was on May 20th, 2007 he had a first son which is verry cute, tubby and showing. By him father, he called by Muhammad Fatan Magna Abqarian. Fatan baby is like me when i was as baby.... huahahahaha.

For you all, May your son be a great man, can be a leader and devoting to their parents.

If in above is happy because have a generation to continue their family. now, my both friends when i was on Islamic Boarding School at Kajen, Pati, Central Java. They are Mohammad Sodiqin which he was got married in last time in this month, and also Wahrodli which will get married during near this time. For you both, Congratulation on your marriege.

New Teste on Starbucks Cafe

Someday I went to Starbucks Cafe in City Center, Cairo, Egypt. I found Java cafe sold there, so my friend who is called by Bee gave me sugestion to order that coffee.


Oh.. that is right, the delicius coffee and make me remember about my home at java.
